Howdee!  In this e-newsletter, find out about our new collaboration with Glide, check out a 2-minute video of Fr. Louie Vitale on his inspiration to start the Gubbio Project, and see some photos from the successful Social Justice Arts Night.

Thanks to donations from many of you, we returned to our regular hours (6 am - 1 pm) on the 1st of September.  More guests than our normal summer average are sleeping on our pews this year - well over 50 sacred sleepers a day - and we are giving away as many clothing vouchers, blankets, and toiletries as ever. Our Friday morning breakfasts continue to be a highlight for many of our guests.

In gratitude for your accompaniment as we journey with and care for our neighbors without homes - Laura

Fr. Louie talks about receiving permission to sleep on pew in a chapel ... and how he decided to pass the permission on!

HIV testing - Mondays from 8:30-11

HIV Services Administrator, Paul Harkin, from the Glide Health Services of the Glide Foundation/ Glide Memorial United Methodist Church began testing for HIV in a private room inside the church this Monday.  The results are ready in 20 minutes so participants get information right away.  They also receive hygiene kits for participating.  On Monday, 4 guests got tested!
Social Justice Arts Night a Success!!

This papier mache sculpture was donated to our silent auction by a patron of the Hospitality House's Community Arts Program and brought in $125 to help us continue to keep the doors of St. Boniface open to all who seek rest.
